Liza is the NLP lead at Autoscriber with an academic background in computational linguistics (University of Cape Town, VU Amsterdam). She joined Autoscriber in November 2021 after working at Shell as a data scientist for three years. She’ll discuss the challenges of applying generative AI to a medical setting, and will give an overview of how Autoscriber’s AI pipeline has been architected to overcome these challenges.

Renzo is a PhD candidate at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica and TU Delft with an affiliation to the radiation oncology department of the LUMC for the application of his research. He has a double masters degree in Embedded Systems and Computer Science, with a specialization track in artificial intelligence, from the TU Delft. He will be talking about the underlying mechanisms of large language models like (Chat)GPT and how they are trained. Furthermore, he will touch on the topic of privacy for the application of these models in the medical domain and what alternatives exist.
